The setup package generally installs about 6 files and is usually about 970.05 kb 993,329 bytes. However I found this link - which is a walk through of how to connect your MIDI Controller. Also there may be a bar at the top where you may be able to search for an external device (unfortunately I am not 100% on this for FL Studio). If it doesn't then I would recommend trying to create a track after the controller is plugged in. It should then automatically be picked up by the instrument /MIDI Track you have created. You should be able to plug your Controller directly into your PC/Mac and the device be recognised by the computer (it should light up when working). However you want to use your MIDI controller to create notes rather than punch them in using your computer mouse. You should be able to create sounds by clicking on the piano roll which should appear near the bottom (Cubase, Logic, Pro Tools). On this track you will add the instrument you wish to play with using your controller e.g. You will need to add a new track, this is called an instrument track on Pro Tools (it may called be called MIDI track or something similar). So firstly you will create a new project. I am not familiar with FL Studio but I will try my best for you. I have tried with my FL studio and can't get it to work.
